This summer was officially wedding season, and I was lucky enough to design and letter three different sets of save the dates and invitations. Here's some of the process!
Since graduating in December, I have been busy job hunting, but have also found myself with quite a bit of free time on my hands. I'm trying to make the most of this time by practicing my calligraphy and lettering. I found a great new book, Practical Letter Book by J.H. Kaemmerer, with abundant inspiration. I traced letters throughout the book to practice drawing the word "love" in many different styles. I have also pulled out my calligraphy pen and watercolor brushes to experiment!
Well, here it goes! I've been having a great time this summer; I took a class where I got to learn about professional craft (including: how to make boxes, how to bind a hardcover book, how to spec a design job for a printer, and much more), as well as having time to practice my calligraphy! Here is just a small sample of the many pages I have covered in practice... so fun!
